Yorkshire Post deputy business editor Greg Wright presented the winner's trophy and prize worth £6000 to Laura Brown of Circle Events at the Event Start-up Grant competiton held at Leed Metropolitan University.

The competition organised by the United Kingdom Centre for Events Management at Leeds Metopolitan University, honoured some of Yorkshires brightest young events management companies.

The competiton, which was open to graduates from across West Yorkshire, is a key part in Leeds Metropolitan University UK Centre for Events Management Events Market Development Project - which is financed by the European Union and the Higher Education Innovation Fund.

Jackie Mulligan of Leeds Metropolitan university said:
